Nunawading Cricket Club – Junior Weekly Update

This Friday, we will being having Super Burgers and sausages. Please come upstairs after cricket – have a drink and a bite to eat – and hear how our children performed.

Nunawading Junior Christmas Party
Your invitation to the Nunawading Christmas party is attached. This again is one of our signature events of the year – where we can all come together as the year comes to an end – and the season takes a break.

Reminder for our Junior Blaster and Super 7s families. There will also be a visit from Santa!! if you would like your child to receive a present from Santa, please purchase one (please no more than $10 – $15), wrap it and clearly mark your child’s name on it. On the night, we will have discreet places that you can leave your present. Santa will then provide your present to your child.

Our older Juniors will still be also able to enjoy a great night – so please – it will be great if everyone can come along.

Representative Cricket – Update
It is with great pleasure, that I can announce that Eloise Wood has been selected to play in the Girls U12 Box Hill Reporter District Cricket Association Representative team. This is the second season in a row Eloise has been selected – and she is still not ‘top age’. Eloise plays in our Fast 9s team on a Sunday – and has a strong love for cricket and also football (the round ball code).

Eloise – we wish you all the best – and look forward to hearing about how you go in January.

Team Update – Fast 9s
Our Sunday morning Fast 9 Team has had a very strong start to the season. Under the coaching of Cleedon Botha, assistance from Paul Wood and Dave Bright – and fantastic team Manager and coordination from Snehal Mehta, the team has gone from strength to strength. I have witnessed all these players develop their cricket over the last 12 months – and to see the cricket skills they now have, is a credit to the coaches – and also the players, for their desire to learn. Whilst there is no ladder in this age group, the team have had many wins. Most importantly, they are also playing in the correct spirit of the game – and enjoying themselves.

Training along side the U12s on a Wednesday evening, has also been fantastic – as these boys and girls are benefiting from working in larger groups – and also being coached alongside our U12 coaches and club Coach Rob Ferdinands.
