Nunawading Cricket Club – Junior Weekly Update

Hi everyone – this weeks update is a bit shorter – but still some important news.

Friday Night
Tomorrow night after matches, training and Junior Blasters – we will be having a BBQ, with Super Burgers, Vegie Burgers and sausages. ‘Piccolino Player of the week’ vouchers will also be handed out during match results.

Friday weather looks a bit up/down. As mentioned previously, the expectation is that all players attend matches – UNLESS PREVIOUSLY ADVISED. Quite often, the Association will not cancel matches – and it will be left up to the two teams present at the game – to determine if it is safe to play – based on local conditions.

Also – if you are unable to attend the whole match/training – please be mindful that matches/training can be called off before the designated finish time. I ask that all families be mindful of this – in terms of collecting your children.

Big Bash League Memberships
Melbourne Stars or Melbourne Renegades – 2 Game Memberships, have now been ordered for all Juniors (excluding Junior Blasters). You may already have received an email from your chosen team. The actual Membership packs will be centrally delivered in 2-3 weeks – and will then be distributed.

Junior Blasters I understand should have also received some tickets in their kits. On the subject of kits, if there are any issues with delivery, please let myself, or Daniel/Claire know.

Bunnings BBQ
We are still looking for families to help out on our Bunnings BBQ at Vermont South on Saturday 16 November. Please put your name down on the roster in the club rooms.

Curry Night
The Nunawading Cricket Clubs ‘world famous’ Curry Night will be on Friday 22 November. This is always a great community night at Nunawading after matches, training and Junior Blasters.

The way it works is that we ask families to make a curry/rice/noodle dish and bring them along to the club for our Post Match gathering. All the curries and rice dishes are then available for everyone to try. If you cook/donate a curry, there is no charge. If not, we simply ask for $5 a plate. We also have sausage sizzle for those who may not be so keen on a spicy meal. If you can cook/donate a curry, please let me know.
