Hi everyone – Weather looks ideal again tomorrow night and on the weekend, for some cricket!! Our Girls team also enjoyed some great weather last night (and secured another victory)!!!! Tomorrow night, we will be having sausages and pizza (we have ordered more this week, to ensure we have enough at 7.00pm)!!! We also will have gluten free options. If anyone does have any specific dietary requirements, please always feel free to let me know!!
Trivia Night – This Saturday
Do you fancy yourself as a trivia buff? Do you watch Eddie on Millionaire Hot Seat and think I could win $1,000,000? Try these below questions:
1. There are athletes competing at The Winter Olympics with the country abbreviation “OAR”. What does OAR stand for?
2. What is the brightest Star at Night?
3. How many times does the heart beat each day?
4. Which of the following has been accepted to be human first name in New Zealand? A: Lucifer B: Number 16 Bus Shelter C: Mafia No Fear
If you answered these correctly (or not) why not come along and test yourself?
The trivia night has been planned around enjoyment firstly, and includes questions that will be both easy, a little challenging and everything in between. There is also a multiple choice category, so if you don’t know the answer, you can choose “C” like you did at school.
Book your table now via email (info) and support what is one of Nunawading Cricket Club’s major social and fundraising events. Even if you do not have enough for a table, please come along. See flyer for more details.
Junior Presentation Night
As a reminder, Friday 23 March is our Junior Presentation Night. Invitation attached – please keep this date free.
Happy 90th Birthday Nunawading
Last Saturday saw a great day (and night) for the Club. Over 50 past players of the club, together with most current members, spent the day celebrating our great club. Club President Dave Cowell spoke to the history, with a number of premierships celebrated (with individual stories relating to those years). This Friday, we will again run the footage on the TV screens which was shown on Saturday – and Dave will not only speak about the clubs history – but also the coming together of the Junior Program 10 years ago. At that time there was a new small Milo program – that now is a Junior program with over 150 children participating in.
Sponsor of the Week
As always, our sponsors assist our club in many ways. This weeks Sponsor – Docking Real Estate – helped the club with our new promotional signs (on the balcony of the club room, on Mahoneys Rd and on Bob Saker oval). If you need a Real Estate agent, please ensure you speak top Docking – and say that you are from Nuna!!
