Nunawading Cricket Club – Junior Weekly Update

Hi everyone!! – As we enter the last few weeks of the summer, let’s all continue to enjoy what has been a great season. Milo has a couple of weeks to go, our U10s also still have a week or so to go. U12 and U14 enter their last two weeks. U15 Girls have had a great season, U16 will play finals (let’s all get behind them), and there is a chance U18s will also play finals (lets also get behind them)!!

Please come back to our club rooms tomorrow night. We will have SUPER BURGERS (which have been very popular), and sausages – and also hear how our teams performed!!

Sponsor of the Week
Our sponsors are the lifeline of our Club. Please support our local sponsors. Dench meats at Forest Hill Chase have looked after us for many years, in varying ways!!

Junior Presentation Day
Once again – due to a variety of reasons – our Junior Presentation Day will change time slots this season. There are many reasons that go into choosing the ideal time (trust me – it has taken many considerations – this includes Senior finals, Junior Finals, availability of club rooms until we hand over to the soccer club, availability of coaches, Grand Prix Weekend, School Holidays, footy season, basketball season – and of course COLLINGWOOD!!)!! I know no date/time will appeal to everyone – however please keep Sunday 19 Marchlate afternoon/evening free!!

We are looking at starting with our Milo and U10s early (around 4.30pm), and then moving on from there. I will have a full invitation for everyone early next week. For the older Juniors, we will be formally finished by 7.30pm – 8.00pm.

#beinvolved member of the week
Whilst this will probably result in a divorce for me, I would like to acknowledge my wife Josephine. Jo does not enjoy cricket (she was also a Collingwood supporter, until she met me – and now footy is the last thing she wants to talk about)!! On saying that, Josephine always comes and watches our son Matthew play cricket each Friday. Additionally, for the last few years, Jo goes out on a Friday morning and buys all the food (and drink and other cricket supplies for our club)!! Jo – thank you – I am so very appreciative of this! I love you lots – Thank you!!
