What a great night last Friday was. A special thank you to everyone who cooked/donated a curry. It was a great turn out. Thanks also to the U10 families who helped with the serving. This ‘coming together’ after cricket matches, is what makes our club, the club it is. Neil Angus (State Member of Parliament for Forest Hill – who was at our club for an hour during the matches) was also very impressed and surprised by the amount of cricket being played at Mahoneys Reserve. Neil also commentated that it was great to see so many parents watching the cricket – even though it was cool.
Tomorrow night, again please come back to the Club Rooms for some Piccolino schnitzel, garlic potatoes and Pasta – and sausages – and to hear how our children went.
….also – a note to our juniors – I hope you all saw how many young players who were picked to play for Australia last week!!!

2016 Christmas Party
Our next themed night, will be our Christmas Party, which will follow the cricket on Friday 16 December (yes, just two weeks away)!! More details to follow in the coming days. This is always a great night, so is certainly a night to put in the calendar now.
Thanks to everyone who has been selling tickets. As a reminder, all raffle books need to be returned to Team Managers by Friday 16 December. If you have a book, however have not sold many, please note there are only two weeks to go. If you would like more tickets to sell, please let me know!!
By now, everyone should have received their envelopes, in order to buy Team Photos (noting the U14A and U16 team photos are still to be taken). Please ensure if you wish to buy a photo, all envelopes need to be returned to Team Managers by Friday 9 December (next week).
The clubs trivia night, will be held on Saturday 18 February. This is always a great night, and historically, many junior families attend. It will be great to have as many junior families there as possible, enjoying the night – and winning some great prizes!!
#beinvolved member of the week
Our #beinvolved member of the week is David Pringle. David and his family are new to Nunawading CC this season. David’s two boys (Hugo and Max) play in the U12 team. Coach of the team Scott Millar, has mentioned on numerous occasions how grateful he is of the support David provides every week – whether that be umpiring, setting up, or helping the boys warm up. Given that David and his family have only been at the club a few months, this is a great example of how everyone can #beinvolved. Thanks David. We trust that you are all enjoying your time at Nunawading.
