Nunawading Cricket Club – Junior Weekly Update

Hi everyone – a few important things this week, as we can now say the season has begun!!
Preseason Training

It was great to see Preseason training underway on Sunday. Whilst numbers were low (and the weather not great), our newly surfaced Bob Saker Oval was totally dry!! I am expecting more numbers as the weeks continue, so please come along this Sunday. So that you can mark training in your calendars, training dates look like this:

U10, U12, U14 and Girls Teams U16 and U18 (with seniors)
Sunday 28 August 9.00am – 10.15am Sunday 28 August 10.00am – 11.15am
Sunday 4 September ** 9.00am – 10.15am Sunday 4 September ** 10.00am – 11.15am
Sunday 11 September 9.00am – 10.15am Sunday 11 September 10.00am – 11.15am

Training will then revert to mid week after after Sunday 11 September. Wednesday night training will commence on 14 September for U10, U12, U14 and Girls Teams. Training dates for U16 and U18 to be confirmed.

** Sunday 4 September is Fathers Day. Confirmation of training proceeding on this Day is still to be provided.

Apparel Form
Please find attached the Apparel form. Please note, the one I provided last week did not have the email address of our Apparel Manager Derek Clark on it. Apologies for this oversight. If you want apparel, please get your requests in ASAP. If you require stock for the start of the season, please ensure you have it to Derek by this Friday.

Registration Day
As mentioned previously, our Registration Day is on Saturday 3 September 9.00am – 11.00am at Mahoneys Reserve. Please promote this to friends and families, as we are looking for some new players to join Nunawading (Boys and Girls). Additionally, if you cannot make Registration Day, can you please complete you Registration Forms ASAP. It is imperative the club knows which players are returning. Registration form and promotional flyer attached.

T20 Blast
We are also looking to run a T20Blast team this season. T20 Blast is aimed at children aged 7-9 who may be looking for more than Milo in2Cricket, however are hesitant about U10. If your child is interested in playing this, please let me know.
