Nunawading Cricket Club – Weekly junior update

Hi everyone

Welcome back to the second half of the season. It was great to see so many boys and girls from our U10, U12 and U14 teams back at training tonight. All matches and our Milo program start back again THIS FRIDAY!!!!

Representative Cricket

As per my last email, Nunawading had five cricketers representing the Association over the holidays. Our three U14 boys David Cowell, Cameron Clark and Aditya Munukutla all did a great job representing Nunawading and their Association. This is a fine achievement to reach this level – well done boys.

Ethan Walker represented the Outer East Eagles with distinction in the Victorian Bushrangers Under 14 State Championships last week. He also debuted in the Nuna First XI on Saturday….what a week for Ethan….well done !

You may also recall that Sierra Maharaj and Vaishnavi Munukutla were also representing the Association in an U12 girls team. My last email advised that they made the Grand Final. Well the great news is THAT THEY WON!!! This is an outstanding achievement that we are all very proud of. The Association I know also is very pleased with this effort – especially as it is the first time our Association has fielded a girls team. A really big congratulations to Sierra and Vaishnavi! Details of this are also in this weeks Whitehorse Leader (electronic Link below)!!

Looking forward to seeing you all on Friday night. We will be having a simple sausage sizzle and hamburger, however if you can, please cup up to the club rooms after the match to hear the post match presentations.
