Nunawading Cricket Club – New Years update

Happy New Year everyone!

I hope everyone has had a great Christmas / New Year break. The good news is that cricket resumes in just two week!! 🙂 Training for U14, U12 and U10 resumes on Wednesday 28 January, with all matches and Milo resuming on Friday 30 January. I look forward to seeing you all there!!

Representative Cricket

Over the last two weeks, five of our cricketers have been representing the Association against other Associations. U14 boys David Cowell, Cameron Clark and Aditya Munukutla have all been doing fantastic jobs representing our club for the Box Hill Reporter District Cricket Association. Additionally, for the first time, our Association has fielded a girls team. Two of our girls have been playing for an U12 Association team. Sierra Maharaj and Vaishnavi Munukutla have both been putting in very strong performances. The great news is that the girls team is through to the GrandFinal this Sunday. The Grand Final will be played at 10:00am, Chelsworth, Park Ivanhoe, Mel 31 G10 for anyone keen to go along and support. This is a great achievement, and I hear that some of the other Associations have been very surprised by the standard of our girls! Well done to all.

Trivia Night

A reminder that the club will be holding a Trivia Night on Saturday 7 February. These are traditionally great nights, and all junior families are all welcome. Over the last few years, we have had 2-3 tables of junior families enjoy a fun filled night!! Please keep this date free, and I will have all the details of the night when we return.

Association Registration forms

U14 and U12 players – your team manager will have handed you a new Association Registration Form just prior to Christmas. Please return these when we re-commence. U10 families, I will hand them out to you to complete when we return. On the subject of registrations, could I please ask that if you have your subs still outstanding, could you please pay them ASAP.
