Nunawading Cricket Club – Weekly Junior Update

Hi everyone

Christmas party
As we approach the last week before the Christmas break, the Nunawading Christmas party will be a great opportunity to celebrate the end of the first half of the season. I attach the invite, and encourage everyone to come along. If you have not yet RSVP’d, could I please ask if you can. On saying that, if you haven’t RSVP’d by Friday, and still want to join in, you are still obviously most welcome (the RSVP just helps with catering – we don’t want too little food – or too much)!! Also, if you want your child to get a present from Santa, please bring one along, wrapped and clearly named. Santa will be making two appearances – one at approximately 7.00-7.15pm for our Milo participants, and then one later on in the night for our older children. If anyone has any questions, please let me know.

Melbourne Stars memberships
With the Big Bash League set to start tomorrow night (with the Stars playing away), it is not too late to buy a membership. Children’s two game memberships are only $10. If you would like to become a Stars member, the quickest way now is to sign up via the link below. In the sign up process, please just list Nunawading as your Cricket Club!!

Toyota raffle
I will also be handing out Toyota raffle tickets tonight at training to those who wish to buy/sell them. These tickets are $5 each, however in addition to the opportunity to win some fantastic prizes (including CARS), all proceeds ($5 from each ticket), comes directly back to the club. I know the juniors have done a great job with our chocolate drive earlier in the season, however if you are in a position to buy/sell, that will also be greatly appreciated.

Whilst the junior season will take a break after this week (U14, U12, U10 and Milo all resume at normal times on Friday 30 January – training for U14, U12 and U10 recommences on Wednesday 28 January), we will be looking to run a ‘cricket camp’ as we did successfully last summer. This will be an opportunity to keep our cricketers playing cricket. I will provide further details in the coming week. If we do get the required numbers (we would want at least 15 players), we would most likely run it in early/mid January. If you would be interested, please let me know.
