Nunawading Cricket Club – Weekly Junior Update

Hi everyone – Just a quick update this week!!

Deakin Community Cup
It was a great morning on Sunday 9 November at Terrara Park . As per my email last week, ten clubs from within the Association came together to help raise money for Charity. The nine players who represented Nunawading did so very proudly and in a fantastic manner (I was able to see all nine children perform, and their efforts and enthusiasm was of a very high quality). A massive acknowledgement and thank you to these nine players from Nunawading:

U14 – Zach Scully Luke Pearson Aidyn Malojer
U12 – Nicholas Bould, Kyle Richards
U10 – Harrison Lefebure, Christos Petrou, Vaishnavi Munukutla

Curry Night – (Next week) – Friday 21 November
After an enjoyable pizza night last week, and the plan for some roast beef rolls and gravy for tomorrow night, just a reminder that next week (28 Nov) is Curry Night. If you are able to cook a curry (or similar) for next week, that will be great (could you please let me know if you can)?? I have two families to date who have advised they will be, so as we get closer, please drop me a note. There will be sausages for the children as well (both tomorrow night and next week).

Could I please ask families who have not paid subs as yet (or for shirts etc) if you could please do so soon. It would be great if we could have all subs collected in the coming weeks. If payment of subs is an issue, please let me know.

Social Media
For those who are savvy with Facebook (that’s not me) – I encourage you all to visit the clubs Facebook page. It has a lot of information on it, and some great photos. Happy for all to add new content (those who use Facebook I presume you all know how)!!!

On field Performances
Finally, it is remiss of me not to mention our weekly performances. As those who come back to the Club Rooms on a Friday night know, we have 2 x U14, 2 x U12, 2 x U10 and a Milo program. The feedback I am receiving is that all teams/programs are going really well. Our boys and girls are really enjoying themselves and learning new skills all the time. Our competitive grades (U14 and U12) are seeing victories as well, with those four teams well placed after three rounds. I will endeavor to ensure in future weeks I have a specific match updates.

Melbourne Stars memberships
Another reminder if you want to take advantage of the Melbourne Stars 2 game memberships. For $10, your child will become a member and have access to two games this summer (including the Renegades game). This is great value. I am happy to process your memberships for you, so please let me know if you are interested!!

See you at the cricket
