This Week in Junior Cricket

Hi All

Another beautiful night for cricket with a good crowd on hand again including some senior players to support the Under 12 and Ankylbyters teams at home this week.  The support from some of our younger senior players especially Ryan Marshman, Zac Dunlop and Dylan Jellet has been sensational and greatly appreciated.

My apologies for not getting this message out last week.  I was in Sydney due to work commitments and simply ran out of time.  Should you not receive this weekly update and need to know the location of your child’s game please contact your Team Manager or follow the link to the Association web-site for details on the location of the various games: http://bhrdca.vic.cricket.com.au/common/pages/public/rv/draw.aspx?entityid=57&id=RVFIXTURE

Simply enter the relevant grade using the drop down arrows and follow the fixture to your game.

Club News
Thanks to all who attended the Trivia Night last Saturday.  It was a great success with great representation from the junior arm of the club.

Well done to Matt Patching on top scoring in the Second XI last Saturday and to Derek Clark for top scoring in the First XI.  Good to see some junior dads still strutting their stuff.  We hope more of you will take the plunge next season.

Congratulations to Kaelan Scully on making his debut in the club colours and hitting a boundary.  Kaelan follows his older brother and 5 year veteran Zach into the Purple and Gold.  Let’s hope the boys can drag Wilbur out of retirement next season.

Friday 1 March – Asian Noodle NightPlease advise Luisa Mackie atlumack@optusnet.com.auASAPof your capacity to throw together an Asian noodle dish or Asian dish for our second annual Asian Noodle Night.  We need as many dishes as we can get both main and desserts so please help out your club and test your cooking skills.  Apologies for short notice but again I could not get the message out last week.

Semi-Finals
We now enter the final week of competition with the exception of the Under 12 Blackbeards who will play finals.  Depending on the outcome of their current game the venue of the semi-final is to be determined.  A win this week will see the lads with a home final and the advantage of being the higher team on the ladder.

Venues – Home grounds of higher finishing Teams. (1 & 2 on ladder)
Dates: Wednesday 6th March and Friday 8th March
