Juniors to practice with seniors tomorrow night and play in 4th XI:
As part of our program to enhance the relationship between the junior and senior clubs and to provide a pathway for juniors into senior cricket, our Under 12s have been invited to senior practice tomorrow night. The Fourth XI this week will also be made up of Nuna fathers and sons and some of our most promising junior cricketers.
Players are requested to please do your best to attend tomorrow night and to help the junior coaches and senior players run combined fielding drills with the juniors and combined nets sessions (juniors bowling to seniors and vice-verse).
This is an important development in mapping the club’s future.
After practice tomorrow, Junior Coaching Director Darren Wharton will introduce the players to the senior club and senior caps will be handed to the debutantes. The Club will put on a pie night for all in celebration.
Details are :
5:30 pm approx: Juniors arrive and are introduced to senior club at the nets. Training together in the nets and fielding drills.
7:15 pm approx. Selection is announced and the juniors playing in the Fourth XI will be presented with their caps
